Description: Improvements included two-storey rear extension, seven-storey side extension, new toilet and circulation cores, new staircase, new service cores and new reception. One of several challenges was locating the reception straight off the pavement when the rest of the ground floor was raised and this was achieved by creating a split-level reception with an ambulant hoist.
